SEO Automation

HelpdeskHero includes a built-in SEO Advisor that analyzes your articles and suggests improvements to help them rank better in search engines. You can run analysis manually or set it up to run automatically on a schedule.

Analyzing an Article

On the SEO page in your dashboard, select any published article to analyze. The advisor scores your article and identifies issues across several areas:

  • Title — Length and keyword optimization
  • Slug — URL structure and readability
  • Content — Length, readability, and structure
  • Headings — Proper use of heading hierarchy
  • Meta description — Excerpt quality and length

One-Click Fixes

For each issue found, the SEO Advisor can suggest a fix. You can preview the suggested change and apply it with a single click. Changes are applied directly to your article — no manual editing needed.

Internal Linking

The advisor can scan your articles and suggest internal links between related content. Internal links help visitors discover more of your articles and improve your SEO by showing search engines how your content is connected. When suggestions are found, you can review and apply them individually.

SEO Automation

Instead of running SEO analysis manually, you can enable automated SEO scans:

  1. Toggle Enable SEO Automation on
  2. Set the frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
  3. The system will automatically scan all your published articles on schedule

Automated scans apply safe, non-destructive optimizations and log all changes for your review.

Bulk Optimization

Use the Run Once Now button to scan and optimize all published articles immediately. This is useful when you first set up your helpdesk or after adding several new articles at once.

Change History

Every SEO change is logged in the Change History section. You can see exactly what was changed, when, and on which article. If you disagree with a change, use the Undo button to revert it instantly. This gives you full control and confidence that automation will not make unwanted changes.
