The Articles page in your dashboard is your central hub for managing all your help center content. Here is everything you can do from this page.
Article List
All your articles are displayed in a list showing the title, category, status (published or draft), and view count. Use the search bar at the top to quickly find articles by title.
Publishing and Drafts
Every article has a status that controls whether it is visible on your public helpdesk:
- Published — The article is live and visible to visitors
- Draft — The article is saved but hidden from public view
You can toggle an article between published and draft from the article list or from within the article editor.
View Counts
Each article tracks how many times it has been viewed by visitors. This helps you understand which topics are most popular and where to focus your writing efforts. View counts are displayed next to each article in the list.
URL Handles
Every article has a URL handle (also called a slug) that determines its web address. When you create an article, a handle is automatically generated from the title. You can customize it in the article editor settings panel.
When you change an article URL handle, you will see an option to Redirect the old URL to the new one. Enabling this creates an automatic redirect so visitors using the old URL are seamlessly sent to the new one.
Categories
Assign each article to a category to keep your helpdesk organized. You can set or change the category from the article editor. Articles without a category will still appear in search results but will not show up under any category on your helpdesk.
Excerpts
Add a short excerpt to your article that appears in search results and article previews. A good excerpt summarizes what the article covers in one or two sentences. If you do not set an excerpt, the first portion of the article content will be used automatically.
Deleting Articles
You can delete articles from the article list. This action is permanent — deleted articles cannot be recovered. If you are unsure, consider setting the article to draft instead of deleting it.
