Enhanced Article Styling

HelpdeskHero offers enhanced styling options that make your articles look more polished and professional. These features add visual elements to your article content automatically.

What Enhanced Styling Does

When enabled, enhanced styling adds gradient-colored number blocks to ordered lists and numbered headings in your articles. Instead of plain numbers, your article headings get a decorative numbered block styled with your accent gradient colors. This makes long articles with multiple sections easier to scan and more visually appealing.

Heading Accent Bars

The Heading Accent Bars setting adds a small decorative accent bar to section headings in your articles. These bars use your accent gradient colors and help visually separate sections, giving your articles a more structured, professional look.

Helpdesk-Wide Settings

Both Enhanced Article Styling and Heading Accent Bars can be toggled on or off for your entire helpdesk from the Settings page. These are enabled by default for new helpdesks.

Per-Article Control

In addition to the helpdesk-wide setting, you can control enhanced styling on individual articles. When editing an article, look for the Number H2 headings toggle in the article settings panel. This lets you enable or disable the gradient numbered headings for that specific article, regardless of the helpdesk-wide setting.

When to Use

Enhanced styling works best for:

  • Tutorial and how-to articles with numbered steps
  • Long-form guides with many sections
  • Documentation that benefits from clear visual hierarchy

For shorter articles or FAQ-style content, you may prefer to disable it for a cleaner look.
